I'm pretty sure that this is caused by a failed internal capacitor, and that this probably was caused by a sudden voltage spike while starting your car. You will have to send your RX65 to Bel/Escort for repair. While they are at it, they will also upgrade your RX65's firmware to whatever their latest firmware version is, even though the firmware version displayed on your RX65 won't be different when you get it back. Have you tried doing a factory reset of the firmware as described in the user manual? To do this, first power off your RX65 using its power button. Then hold down the two buttons which are used to enter Program Mode and, while holding down these two buttons, press the Power button again.
